Holidays in Dorf Tirol

Dorf Tirol is located north of Merano right at the slopes of the Küchelberg. From there is a wonderful view over Merano, the Vinschgau and the Etsch Valley.

Dorf Tirol is of great importance to the history of Tyrol especially during the middle age. Many historical buildings like Castle Tyrol, which is the ancestral seat of the earls of Tyrol, the parish church of S. Peter and the parish church of S. John the baptist, are evidences from this time and are well worth to visit.

The famous Tappeiner Trail leads from Dorf Tirol to Meran and invites you for a walk. Also a cable car leads from Dorf Tirol to Hochmut (1.361 m) and the Meraner Höhenweg hiking path within the Texelgroup.
